The Board of Directors of the Nemitsas Foundation offered a dinner in honor of Nobelist Christoforos Pissarides and his wife Rachel at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, on Friday 9th March, 2012.

In a short welcoming speech, the President of the Foundation, Mr. Takis Nemitsas, thanked the Nobel Laureate for accepting to become a member of the Academic Council of the Nemitsas Foundation. Further, he invited him to support and get involved in the Foundation’s activities in any possible way he would like.

In his turn, Nobelist Pissarides thanked the President and the members of the Board and appraised the contribution of the Foundation to the scientific development of the country. Pissarides assured his willingness to help the Nemitsas Foundation to achieve its aims through using his extensive experience and knowledge from similar Foundations he is involved with.

The dinner was preceded by a cocktail party of about one hour during which members of the Board of Directors and their spouses had the chance to get to know and have a chat with the Cypriot Nobelist and his wife. The dinner itself was accompanied with live piano music. The successful organization of the dinner was done with extreme care by the Four Seasons Hotel.
