The 7th annual award ceremony was dedicated this year in Mathematics and it was a great success. That was on 3rd October 2016, at the Presidential Palace.
The Prize was awarded by the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades to Professor Demetrios Christodoulou.

Date of the Award of the Nemitsas Prize 2016 in Mathematics
We are very pleased to announce that the Office of the President of the Republic of Cyprus has determined Monday 3rd of October 2016 as the date of the award of the Nemitsas Prize 2016 in Mathematics.
The award ceremony shall take place in the Presidential Palace, and the Prize shall be awarded by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades.

Professor Demetrios Christodoulou
is the Laureate of the Nemitsas Prize 2016 in Mathematics
We announce with great pleasure that the International Experts’ Committee has selected Professor Demetrios Christodoulou for the Nemitsas Prize 2016 in Mathematics and the Foundation’s Board of Directors unanimously confirmed their decision.
Professor D. Christodoulou is one of the most accomplished mathematicians worldwide, and it is an honor for Cyprus to have such a distinguished scientist.

The award ceremony shall take place in early October 2016 at the Presidential Palace, and the Prize shall be awarded by the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades. The exact date will be announced soon.

The deadline for the submission of Applications/Nominations for the NEMITSAS Prize 2016 in MATHEMATICS has been completed on the 30th of April, 2016.
Upon the end of the deadline, the Foundation’s Secretariat has forwarded all received applications to the International Experts Committee for their evaluation and the selection of the candidate or candidates’ for the award.
The whole procedure, including the selection of the Prize Winner/Winners, will be completed by the 18th of July, 2016.

The Board of Directors announces that the NEMITSAS Prize 2016 will be awarded in MATHEMATICS.
The Prize will be awarded by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus at the Presidential Palace in early October 2016. (The precise date will be announced later.)
Applications or Nominations will be accepted from 1st April, 2016 through 30th April, 2016. Electronic submission (via email) is preferred. A typed A4 letter is also acceptable. To be considered, it must be received not later than 12.00 noon on the 30th April 2016. Attached evidence that the applicant/nominee is of Cypriot origin is required.
